Rainey Tisdale is an independent museum curator who works at the intersection of cities, objects, and creativity. She is an international expert on city museums and blogs at CityStories. She teaches Material Culture in the Museum Studies Program at Tufts University. With Linda Norris, she is the co-author of Creativity in Museum Practice (Left Coast Press, 2013). She has held fellowships as a Fulbright Scholar in Helsinki, Finland, and as a Community Fellow at Brown University’s Center for Public Humanities. She spent the past year leading #BostonBetter, an effort by 25 Boston-area cultural institutions to provide public programming for the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing.
